The first season of The Last of Us was a huge success, giving HBO ratings it hadn’t seen since Game of Thrones and earning 19 Emmy nominations, with eight wins.
In a new video showcasing their upcoming and returning series, Max teased some clips from the second season of the popular series, based on the video game franchise. While season one was based on the 2013 game The Last of Us season 2 will adapt the events of the 2020 sequel, The Last of Us – Part II.
The Last of Us Season 2 First Look
The teaser reunites Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey and gives us our first glimpse of Catherine O’Hara’s character, whose details are still under wraps. She exudes a menacing benevolence, promising an intriguing role. It’s possible that O’Hara’s character is newly created and not from the video games.
In the teaser, O’Hara’s character asks Joel (Pedro Pascal), “Did you hurt her? What did you do?” This likely refers to Ellie (Bella Ramsey). The teaser then shows an action-packed montage of what Joel does and what happens in the second season.

The second season also features Jeffrey Wright, who reprises his role from Part II as Isaac, the leader of a large militia group who has become entangled in an endless war against a resourceful enemy.
As for O’Hara’s question, Joel, with a tear running down his cheek, responds, “I saved her.”
With Pedro Pascal crying, Catherine O’Hara bringing her unique presence, and Jeffrey Wright making an appearance, season two is highly anticipated. Although we don’t have a premiere date yet, we can’t wait for its release.
