The study, titled Defining the Enterprise of the Future, draws insights from 2,800 global IT and business decision-makers, outlining a three-year roadmap for enterprises operating in an AI-centric era.

Alteryx Research Reveals AI Impact that both innovation and regulation are pivotal in shaping the future of enterprises. Approximately 59% of UAE business leaders are inclined to boost investments in advanced technology. Notably, 82% acknowledge AI’s current impact on organizational capabilities. Moreover, 45% of respondents aim to invest in advanced technologies, particularly AI, to adapt to market dynamics.
AI’s Influence and Ethical Concerns:
Nearly half of the surveyed leaders (49%) foresee AI’s ubiquitous presence across all business sectors. However, with this growth come crucial ethical concerns. Issues revolving around data privacy (47%), transparency (40%), and data governance (36%) have emerged, reshaping the conversation around regulations from being frowned upon to becoming a crucial consideration for businesses.
Shift in Regulatory Expectations:
A significant majority (87%) of UAE business leaders advocate for the development of sector-specific regulations governing AI usage. Moreover, half of the participants (50%) express concerns over the potential legal and ethical repercussions if an ethical AI framework is not in place.
Evolution of Workforce Skills:
The research highlights a transition in desired skill sets. Approximately 73% of leaders now emphasize the significance of having multi-skilled employees over those specializing in a single area. While technical skills like AI and ML remain pivotal (28%), soft skills such as digital literacy (26%), team leadership (26%), and critical thinking (19%) are increasingly sought after in the workforce.
