The much loved couple Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal have officially tied the knot. After years of dating, the couple opted for a low-key registered marriage, with the civil ceremony taking place at Sonakshi’s Bandra apartment in Mumbai on Sunday evening.
Both Sonakshi and Zaheer shared their joy on Instagram, posting the first photos from their wedding. They looked stunning in matching off-white outfits—Sonakshi in a beautiful saree and Zaheer in a kurta. The intimate ceremony was attended by their loved ones, including Sonakshi’s father, the legendary Shatrughan Sinha, who stood proudly by his daughter as she signed the marriage documents.

The couple shared a heartfelt caption with their wedding photos:
“On this very day, seven years back (23.06.2017) in each other’s eyes, we saw love in its purest form and decided to hold on to it. Today that love has guided us through all the challenges and triumphs… leading up to this moment… where with the blessings of both our families and both our gods… we are now man and wife. Celebrations and Pre-Wedding Festivities
The wedding celebrations were a close-knit affair with family and friends. Among the attendees were Sonakshi’s “Heeramandi” co-star Aditi Rao Hydari and her fiancé, actor Siddharth. The festivities kicked off on Saturday with traditional pujas at Sonakshi’s family home, Ramayan, where she looked radiant in a blue kurta suit alongside her mother, Poonam Sinha.
The pre-wedding events also included an indoor party on June 20, followed by a vibrant mehendi ceremony on June 21. The couple also enjoyed bachelor and bachelorette parties with their respective friends.

There had been rumors about Shatrughan Sinha’s stance on the wedding, especially after he mentioned to Times Now that he was “waiting to be informed” about his daughter’s marriage. However, his presence at the wedding laid all speculations to rest. He expressed his support, stating:
“I will be there at the wedding, certainly. Why shouldn’t I and why won’t I? Her happiness is my happiness and vice versa. She has every right to choose her partner and the other details of her wedding.”
