Dubai Metro Red Line passengers should take note of a station name change was once called Mashreq Metro Station renamed to InsuranceMarket Metro Station. This change comes after the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) granted naming rights to the insurance comparison website, InsuranceMarket.ae, for the next 10 years.
The station, located between Mall of the Emirates and Dubai Internet City on Sheikh Zayed Road, will have its new name in place throughout November. All exterior signage, maps, apps, and onboard announcements will be updated accordingly.

According to Abdul Mohsen Ibrahim Kalbat, CEO of the RTA’s Rail Agency, selling naming rights to metro stations helps boost the local economy. It offers companies a unique way to advertise and promote their services, making Dubai Metro stations prime spots for brand exposure.
InsuranceMarket, founded in 1995, is a well-known name in the UAE. Avinah Babur, the company’s CEO, called the renaming of the metro station a major achievement for the business.
